Knut is a fantastic teacher, I learned so much from him. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn Norwegian at any level, he’s great!

Norwegian B1 completed! With many thanks to Knut Lyngstad for guiding me. It was quite a challenge for me, getting used to online lessons, 1 on 1, a lot of self-study, but I am happy that I tried it. Knut is a good teacher, you can work at your own pace, communication via email with questions in between lessons goes smoothly, I always received a prompt answer. It is no problem to introduce topics yourself to talk about. I highly recommend Knut if you want to learn the beautiful Norwegian language!

I started studying Norwegian with Knut in Autumn 2023 and in about 6 months I reached A2 level. The lessons range from explanation of grammar rules to reading activities, from writing short texts to learning interesting information about Norwegian history and culture. Thus each lesson is very rich and stimulating. I also appreciated the flexible hours and the clarity of exposition, Knut indeed speaks excellent Italian. I recommend Knut’s lessons to anyone who wants to learn or improve their Norwegian!

Knut is a great person and an amazing teacher. I knew basic Norwegian from almost 20 years ago and wanted to speak the language well enough to do job interviews and land a job in Norway. We started off with some regular exercises, but quickly changed that to having actual conversations as soon as my Norwegian got a little better. This flexibility and adaptation in teaching style really helped me with my interviews as I was learning to keep a conversation going and trust I could get my point across, rather than focusing solely on grammar and consistency. Knut helped me achieve exactly what I wanted, in a short amount of time. I am very grateful, since I now live and work in Norway and I don’t think I would have managed so well without Knut’s support.

Knut is a very skilled teacher. He combines good teaching with a sense of humour. He is a pleasant person and the lessons we have are tailored to our individual needs. For us it means not so much grammar, but more training with daily Norwegian conversations.

I’ve been learning Norwegian with Knut Lyngstad now for several years, and have kept going from complete beginner up to B1 now, as I really enjoy his approach, his humor and the richness of not just learning language in a traditional way, but also through history, culture, context, etc. Highly recommend!

I had the honor to take the classes of Norwegian with Knut. The classes were very interesting and engaging, Knut is an amazing teacher, very patient with students, great at explaining the subject matter in various ways to make it fit the student’s preferred learning style, which makes Norwegian with him a particularly enjoyable and valuable experience. Knut makes sure to actively involve you in the language and he also introduces you to the peculiarities of Norwegian culture, which is an indispensable component of studying a foreign language.
